Interior partitioning and plasterboard
Knauf Drywall is part of the Knauf
Group, one of he largest independent building materials
groups in the world. Still a family run business without
shareholders, Knauf Drywall's priorities are very much
its staff, its customers and the environment.
The majority of Knauf Drywall's plasterboard is manufactured
from 99% sustainable material, including the gypsum and
paper liners. Knauf Plasterboard is a very green product
that does not deteriorate in use and is straightforward
to recycle. Likewise Knauf Metal Components are built
to last and are easily recycled as and when required.
Knauf pioneered use of FGD gypsum, formed when natural
lime is used in Flue Gas Desulphurisation systems to reduce
emissions from coal-fired power stations. FGD gypsum is
made in hours - rather than millions of years - and it
has already helped the environment before it is made into
plasterboard.
