Henderson Company Profile
Established in 1921, Henderson Garage Doors now employs
over 200 people at its advanced manufacturing plant at
Bowburn, County Durham. As one of the largest manufacturing
employers in the area, staff are reassured by the ‘Investor
in People’ status and the strict quality standards
of ISO 9001 and 14001 that the company has in place.
The Henderson brand is the hallmark for high quality garage
doors and first class service, with the highest brand
recognition in the UK. The company has also been awarded
manufacturer of the year by the Association of Garage
Door Specialists. Tradition is important to everyone at
Henderson Garage Doors and whilst new technology provides
the capabilities to improve products, the design of our
Merlin door is still based on the original garage door
which was launched in 1954. More than 3 million Henderson
garage doors have been installed in over 70 countries
worldwide.
Henderson Garage Doors also produces sliding door gear
which is all manufactured on site alongside our garage
doors. Kits and accessories have been supplied to a variety
of customers including Heathrow Airport and the Scottish
Parliament.
In 2000, the company became a member of the Cardo Group,
a major European engineering products company. The support
of Europe’s fastest growing garage door producer
enables continued development of products and services
which exceed customers’ expectations.
Henderson garage doors and sliding door gear are available
through specialist garage door installers, independent
and national builders’ merchants and Henderson Supercentres.
Welcome home to the finest garage doors.

' Henderson Garage Doors are proud to be associated with the Stoneguard
C60 Research House. As a forward thinking manufacturing company,
environmental concerns form part of our strategy as our ISO 14001
accreditation demonstrates. The Henderson g60 sectional garage door
has deep insulation for greater warmth and strength which in turn
improves the efficiency rating of any home. The information gathered
from the involvement in this project will be used by our research
and development team for future development of our products.'
