Clay
pipes
The raw materials for clay drainage are quarried and on
completion the quarry is backfilled with inert overburden
to be reinstated to at least equal quality. Clay as a material
can be ground up and used repeatedly, making it highly sustainable.
Hep2O polybutylene pipe combines flexibility with toughness
even at elevated temperatures and pressures, meeting the
demands of modern heating and plumbing installations. This
means it is ideal for meeting the demands of today’s
modern housing market. The flexible pipe can be manipulated
within a property to easily reach any areas with minimum
jointing required. Obviously this saves considerable labour
costs, but also provides a more secure system.

‘Hepworth Building
Products is delighted to be involved in the C60 house project
as it is an advocate of the use of modern construction methods
and constantly strives to provide the industry with products
to make this possible. The use of sustainable products and reduction
of carbon emissions are important issues, which Hepworth actively
supports and being part of the project will help to raise awareness
and promote best practice in these areas. The Hepworth products
installed in the house will continue to be monitored and data
will be used for further research and development.’
